Uganda forces Chinese contractor to carry out repairs on the Isimba hydroelectric power plant

Output at the Chinese-built 183MW Isimbi hydroelectric power plant has returned to full capacity after emergency repairs. But outstanding structural defects could cost a further $150m to remedy and has led to strains between Kampala and contractor China International Water and Electric Corporation, writes Our Kampala Correspondent.
