Nigeria: Political risk analysis

Challenge: A major independent power producer required an analysis of political risk in Nigeria prior to the tightly contested 2015 election and the potential power sector implications.

Solution: We delivered a detailed political risk report covering possible outcomes from the election, potential unrest and security risks, amongst other key political considerations. Our report helped outline the relationship between likely political outcomes and the possible consequences or advantages. Having anticipated a close race in our report, our client was equipped with useful intelligence before the surprise victory of President Muhammadu Buhari.
