South Africa: RustMo1 begins supplying the grid

The 6.76MW RustMo1 solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant began supplying the grid on 18 November, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor juwi announced. The project, which was selected in the first round of the renewable energy independent power procurement programme (REIPPP1), consists of more than 29,000 PV modules and can produce more than 12.5m kWh of power. Operation began a week ahead of schedule.
