Niger/Nigeria: Savannah looks at options

London-based Savannah Petroleum has signed a memorandum of understanding with the New Nigeria Development Company (NNDC) and Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) on collaboration in the Nigerian section of the Central African Rift System. The companies will set up technical and steering committees to evaluate the technical and commercial prospectivity of the underexplored region. Savannah expects to enter into further agreements over time with NNDC and NNPC, and is also talking to its new partners about other potential opportunities in Nigeria.
