OVH Energy, the former Oando Marketing, has launched the Lagos Midstream Jetty in Lagos’ Apapa harbour. The project is West Africa’s first privately owned midstream jetty, built by Oando to increase the capacity and offloading efficiency for delivering petroleum products into marketers’ storage facilities at Apapa. Commissioned on 6 November by transport minister Rotimi Ameachi, the jetty was constructed at a cost of $150m, and is expected to save marketers $50m/yr.
