The Electricity Generation Company of Malawi (Egenco) signed a contract with China’s Chint on 28 October for the design, supply, installation and commissioning of the 10MW, first phase of the Salima solar PV project. A second phase will add a further 10MW. Egenco said it has secured enough land for up to 50MW.
