The beleaguered Indeni refinery is battling corrosion damage to its key processing infrastructure from a shipment of highly acidic crude supplied by Swiss commodity trader Gunvor.“Government met the supplier of crude oil, Gunvor, on 5 August 2015 where the supplier accepted the findings of the investigations from Intertek which revealed that the crude supplied had high levels of organic chlorides,” said ministry of energy permanent secretary Emeldah Chola.
