South Africa: Marula considers solar power supply option

Implats Group subsidiary Marula is considering the development of a 10MW solar PV plant at its platinum mine site in the north- eastern province of Limpopo to address unreliable grid supply. The mining group issued a request for information late last month seeking contractors to design, finance, supply, construct, commission, operate and maintain the project.
