EGPC and Ganope offer 11 blocks in licensing round

Two state companies on 9 July announced a licensing round offering 11 onshore and offshore exploration blocks. Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC), whose chairman is Petroleum Minister Sameh Fahmy, is offering eight blocks, while Ganoub El-Wadi Petroleum Holding Company (Ganope), which is responsible for exploration activities in Upper Egypt, is offering three blocks. The deadline for bids is 1 November.
