Société Nationale d’Electricité du Burkina (Sonabel) is seeking expressions of interest from consultants to carry out an environmental and social impact assessment for rural electrification projects in the country. The projects will follow the route of the 330kV North Core/Dorsale North interconnector, which will connect Benin, Burkina Faso, Niger, and Nigeria. Between 154 and 179 localities are being targeted by the World Bank Group-financed project. 106 localities are expected to be connected at 33kV and 48 at 34.5kV. Submissions are due by 31 May 2019.
