As FTAE went to press on 23 February it was finally announced that BP Amoco would go ahead with its long-anticipated In Salah gas scheme. While this was hardly unexpected, it will add to the renewed wave of interest in the Maghreb region’s energy potential — also reflected in FTAE’s new North Africa Oil Update.
