Power coverage incudes analysis of news from countries including Botswana, Cameroon, Ghana, Kenya, Mauritius, Morocco, Namibia, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa and Zimbabwe.

Upstream oil and gas coverage includes an examination of the news that Glencore has been fined $1.2bn after admitting bribery in oil deals, plus analysis of news from  Namibia, Senegal and Zimbabwe.

The issue also focuses on cobalt production and supply chains in DR Congo, where major trading houses are among those approaching potentially hugely lucrative energy transition plays with an eye on ESG concerns.

The African Energy View focuses on Angola and Nigeria which are responsible for the vast majority of the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (Opec) supply shortfall that is helping to sustain high global oil prices.
