Juba peace deal creates space for Sudanese oil cooperation

Sudan’s transitional government signed a peace agreement with rebel groups on 3 October, aiming to end the conflict in Darfur, South Kordofan and Blue Nile. The agreement, signed in the South Sudanese capital Juba, should secure a greater share of autonomy and investment for marginalised regions as part of the overall changes in federal administration.
