Hidroeléctrica de Cahora Bassa (HCB), which operates the Cahora Bassa dam, is planning to increase output to 2,925MW from 2,075MW to meet local and regional demand (AE 136/24). Within the next three months, a study will be commissioned to evaluate the dam’s potential to increase output.
