Tilana leads all transmission and distribution initiatives for the IFC in Africa. She has over 20 years of experience in the energy sector and a wealth of knowledge and experience in consulting engineering and project management.
Tilana’s focus has been on project development of power infrastructure projects through her roles at South Africa state utility Eskom, EON, Aurecon Consulting Engineers, Xaris Energy (a power developer) and USNC (focusing on a small modular nuclear reactor project). She has been actively involved in initiatives to unlock private sector participation in grid projects and regional interconnectors in a number of African countries.
Tilana is a professional industrial engineer and holds a master’s degree in computer engineering (electronic) as well as a master’s degree in engineering management.
