Frederik joined Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) in 2016, with a focus on onshore renewable energy investments in North America. Since 2020, Frederik has been part of driving CIPs emerging market strategy forward through a dedicated $1bn global investment fund focusing on high-growth emerging economies such as South Africa.
Founded in 2012, CIP is the world’s largest dedicated fund manager within greenfield renewable energy investments and a global leader in offshore wind. The funds managed by CIP focus on investments in offshore and onshore wind, solar PV, biomass and energy-from-waste, transmission and distribution, reserve capacity, storage, advanced bioenergy, and Power-to-X.
Prior to joining CIP, Frederik founded GreenGo Energy, a renewable energy IPP with a focus on primarily solar energy assets in Europe and North America. GreenGo Energy has 27GW of solar, wind, BESS and P2X projects in various stages of development and construction in nine US states, Europe and MENA, of which more than 5GW has been contracted through partnership framework agreements with Tier-1 investors in the renewable space.
