Federico leads the research programme on technologies for energy transition at FEEM, Eni’s research foundation. Over the past 15 years, he has advised governments and utilities on power sector reforms, tariff regulation and major international energy infrastructure projects in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Federico’s areas of expertise are energy and environmental markets, with a specific focus on economic regulation, market design and the enabling conditions for private sector involvement and PPPs.
Federico is a member of the senior energy advisory programme of the Tony Blair Institute, funded by Power Africa. In this role, Federico has been advising regional institutions and national governments on power sector reforms, international energy transactions and infrastructural investments. He also teaches energy and environmental economics at Bocconi Universit.
Federico holds a double PhD in economics, one from Université Paris Ouest Nanterre La Défense, and one from Bocconi University.
