Zimbabwe has taken key steps towards reforming its power sector, introducing a long-awaited tariff increase and launching a National Renewable Energy Policy and a National Biofuels Policy, two critical documents that are expected to help stimulate energy production and broaden the energy mix.ZESA has applied for a tariff increase every year since 2011 – and has been turned down each time.
