Construction has started on the first phase of a 1.9MWp solar PV and 3.9MWh battery energy storage system (Bess) at agro-industrial company Nhimbe Fresh’s estate in Marondera, Zimbabwe. First announced in November 2020, the $5.3m project is being developed by South African crowdfunding platform Sun Exchange, which recently raised another round of funding.
