Zambia: EGP commissions Ngonye solar PV facility

Enel Green Power (EGP) announced on 29 April the start-up of the Ngonye solar photovoltaic plant in the Lusaka South Multi-Facility Economic Zone. The plant, which will have an installed DC capacity of 34MW, equivalent to 28 MWac, when fully commissioned later this year, was developed as part of the World Bank Group’s Scaling Solar programme, along with the 47.5MW Bangweulu plant, which launched in March.
