Wind power capacity expected to double within three years

South Africa and North African countries are expected to continue to dominate the wind power sector in the period to 2025, as the rest of the continent shows little sign of being able to close the gap. On a positive note, analysis of the African Energy Live Data project pipeline suggests private finance is taking the place of public ownership across the continent, including now in North Africa, where the state is expected to fall back to a minority ownership position by end-2022.
