Wind capacity expected to double by 2025, African Energy research shows

With almost 10.5GW of wind power projects in the pipeline up to 2025, current installed capacity could double in the coming years, according to research published in African Energy’s Wind Power Data Insights Report 2010-25. However, even with these considerable capacity additions, the market is not expected to show significant growth outside the existing main markets of South Africa, Egypt, Morocco, Ethiopia and Kenya.
