South Africa: Gazania to spud by year end

With interest in South Africa’s oil and gas potential growing, Africa Energy Corporation (AEC) plans to spud the Gazania well on Block 2B in the Orange Basin by year-end following farm-ins by Azinam and Panoro Energy. AEC chief executive Garret Soden told an online conference organised by Norway’s SpareBank 1 Markets that the well would test two targets with prospective resources of over 300m bbls.
