South Africa’s IPP Office expects a request for proposals (RfP) for 2GW of power through the risk mitigation procurement programme (RMPP) to be released at the end of July after the regulator gave the go-ahead for procurement from a range of sources to plug a looming supply gap.The IPP Office has begun drafting documentation. “Engagement with all stakeholders is taking place at present to ensure the buy-in and sign-off of all relevant parties.
