Sonangol flexes muscles over development contracts

Final contracts have yet to be awarded, but national oil company Sociedade Nacional de Combustíveis de Angola (Sonangol) has moved to reaffirm Luanda’s commitment to raising levels of local content – and show who has control of the Angolan industry – by rejecting operator Total E&P Angola’s recommendations for contractors to build the giant Clov project’s infrastructure.
