Mozambique: EdM board overhaul

A new board has been appointed at Electricidade de Moçambique (EdM), bringing some notable changes. The term of the previous five-member board expired at the end of 2019 and it had been operating with a vacant seat for around 18 months. The government took the opportunity provided under the recently approved State Owned Enterprises Act to increase the size of the board from five executive directors to seven, which is expected to allow a better distribution of portfolios and has been welcomed by EdM insiders.
