Kenya: Lake Turkana Wind Power yet to drop tariff

Lake Turkana Wind Power (LTWP) has not yet hit its target of 1.683bn kWh of power produced, after which the tariff will drop by nearly half. The 310MW plant has been operating since October 2018, but LTWP executive director Rizwan Fazal told African Energy it had failed to hit the first anniversary target of 1.683bn kWh of sales. “We haven’t hit the target yet.
