Gridworks eyes hydropower potential in East and southern Africa

Wholly-owned and supported by the UK government’s British International Investment, Africa-focused transmission, distribution and distributed renewable energy investor Gridworks’ latest investment, of up to $50m in Nairobi-headquartered Virunga Power, is to be used to fund projects in countries including Burundi, Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania and Zambia.
