Germany reaches 0.7% ODA ratio

New data from the Paris-based Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) show that Germany has joined the select group of countries whose official development assistance (ODA) is equivalent to 0.7% of gross national income. Germany has been increasing its already substantial development support, not least to help anchor potential migrants to Europe in Africa – as expressed in last year’s launch of the Federal Ministry for Economic Co-operation and Development (BMZ) Marshall Plan With Africa.
