Published May 2022, this graphic includes a map showing the location of copper-cobalt mines in DR Congo and a series of charts illustrating the state of the global cobalt industry.
The map shows both industrial and artisanal coper-cobalt mines, refineries and smelters. The charts consist of two pies showing global cobalt reserves and production and cobalt demand by end-use sectors, a trend chart showing actual and projected global cobalt demand and supply (2020-31) and a chart showing cobalt metal prices in 2021. Two small charts show projected mined cobalt production by country in 2026 and new electrical vehicle sales by region (2019-2021).
