Zimbabwean independent power producer Oxygen Energy Ltd has invited expressions of interest by 29 November 2017 from consultants to assist with the construction of a 20MW off-grid rooftop solar PV project. The company received a $1m grant for the project, which will install rooftop systems on buildings owned and managed by Old Mutual Property Group Zimbabwe, from the African Development Bank-managed Sustainable Energy Fund for Africa in May. Consultancy services will involve the preparation of legal documentation and contract agreements, including the completion of power purchase agreements, the finalisation of the engineering, procurement and construction contract agreements, as well as the negotiation of grid connection agreements with the Zimbabwe Transmission and Distribution Company. It is anticipated that the successful consultancy will begin work on 1 January 2018 for six months.
