21 Jun 2019 | 1 minute read

Kenya’s Geothermal Development Company is requesting proposals from consultants to carry out an environmental audit on the Baringo-Silali geothermal drilling project. Bids must be submitted by 4 July 2019. Baringo-Silali includes the Baringo-Korosi, Paka, and Silali prospects, which are located close to Lake Baringo in Turkana and Baringo counties. The project is at an early development stage. The consultant will produce an inception report, review all relevant laws and regulations, verify GDC’s level of compliance with environmental standards, review all documentation, inspect project sites, and develop an environmental management and mitigation plan.
