26 May 2020 | 1 minute read

The deadline for bids in a tender for a solar PV panel production facility in Kenya has been put back. Kenya Electricity Generating Company Plc (KenGen) launched the tender in February with an initial deadline of 15 April, which has now been delayed until 11 June. The contract involves the design of required equipment and layout for a production line within a building and floor space provided by KenGen; supply, installation and commissioning of the plant; training of KenGen staff on the operation and maintenance of the entire plant; provision of materials for initial production; and technical drawings and documents for reference in maintenance and operation of the plant. The facility will produce 5-10MWe/yr of panels.
