A second round of Scaling Solar is under way after the Ethiopian finance ministry’s Public-Private Partnership Directorate General (PPP-DG) on 16 April issued a request for prequalification (RfQ) for up to 500MW at four sites. Bidders will need to register in-person or online to receive the RfQ document. Submissions are due by 29 May.
Separately, the International Finance Corporation, which has been retained as transaction advisor for the second round, is inviting expressions of interest from technical, environmental and social consulting firms to assist with the round. Interested firms should visit the World Bank Group eConsultant2 website to enter submissions before 30 April.
