Egypt: Vestas EPC for 254MW Gulf of Suez wind farm

Vestas announced on 30 September that it has been selected by Egypt’s New and Renewable Energy Authority (NREA) as the EPC contractor for the 252MW Gulf of Suez I wind power plant. Vestas will also supply and install 70 3.45MW V105 wind turbines, which will operate in a 3.6MW optimised mode, and has a three-year service agreement for the plant. The project includes construction of a 300MVA substation.
