The World Gas Conference is the global gas industry's pre-eminent event, gathering the global gas and energy community every three years, at a comprehensive conference and trade exhibition. It is the most important flagship event owned by the International Gas Union (IGU), an international institution representing over 90% of the global natural gas production and consumption market. The 29th World Gas Conference (WGC2025) is the first of these to visit China.
Under the Presidency of Madam Li Yalan, the IGU is steering a three-year programme committed to “Maximising Gas Benefits” on behalf of the industry through its global advocacy.
