African power data: North African trends and opportunities

African power data: North African trends and opportunities

26 April 2023

Online, 12.00-13.00 BST (GMT +1)

An African Energy webinar on the latest trends in North Africa's power generation industry.

This webinar presented the latest data on North Africa from African Energy Live Data, the most comprehensive database of power generation plants and projects across the continent.

In addition to the presentation of data, the webinar looked to tackle these questions:

  • How are the countries of the region changing their power strategy?
  • How quickly will the promise of their renewables future be realised?
  • What is the likely fate of Tunisia’s ambitious but so far unrealised renewable procurement programmes?
  • And what changes are afoot in the recalcitrant hydrocarbons giants of Libya and Algeria?

Analysis and commentary was led by African Energy's managing director and North Africa senior analyst John Hamilton.
