According to the International Energy Agency, by 2021 renewable capacity in the MENA region will grow by 78%, led by Egypt, the UAE and Morocco.
The market is rapidly maturing and the cost of production diminishing with the PV pipeline in 2018 amounting to almost 12 GW. There are also 4.9 GW of large solar projects under construction, including 1.8 GW in Egypt and nearly a gigawatt combined in Jordan and Morocco.
Over the next three to five years, the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy plans to add 51.3 GW to current installed capacity. This is where The Solar Show MENA comes in. The Solar Show MENA, which is co-located with The Wind Show MENA and The Energy Storage Show MENA, is the renewable energy event the region has been waiting for and will help to shape the energy market through sharing knowledge, educating the market and facilitating influential meetings.
Bringing together 1000 stakeholders, including leading policymakers, utilities, local industry heavyweights and international technology experts plus a buzzing exhibition, there is simply no better place for you to connect with the industry.
In partnership with The Regional Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RCREEE) and The Green Economy Financing Facility (GEFF), our mission is to create a forum that is the industry meeting place. The Solar Show MENA is where industry professionals come and learn how to develop sustainable, clean and bankable world class energy generation projects throughout the region.
Solar power looms large in the future of the MENA region and The Solar Show MENA is the regional forum you have been waiting for. The MENA solar sector is open for business, are you?
