Nigeria faces gas crunch as flaring deadline looms

As the deadline for zero flaring looms, finding outlets for Nigerias associated gas is giving the major oil operators a headache, not least because of the social and environmental questions it raises. Faced with the threat of stiffer penalties, Shell Nigeria has indicated that oil fields could be closed to meet flare-out targets, writes Martin Clark.
