Zambia: M&E contractor sought for Ngonye Falls

Zambian independent power producer Western Power Company is seeking prequalification bids by 25 March from established original equipment manufacturers/mechanical and electrical contractors for the design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the mechanical and electrical systems of a planned 40MW-60MW run-of-river project at Ngonye Falls on the Zambezi River in Western Province. The estimated $200m project is being jointly developed by Western Power Company and UK-based eleQtra on behalf of InfraCo, a private sector infrastructure group owned by the Private Infrastructure Development Group.
