South Africa seeks 2GW of short-term power

With load-shedding resuming as South Africa eases lockdown, the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy (DMRE) has issued a request for proposals for 2,000MW of power from a range of technologies under the risk mitigation IPP procurement programme. Submissions are due by noon local time on 24 November.
