Issue 357 - 09 Nov 2017 | 2 minute read

The floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel for Total’s Egina development on OML 130 left Samsung Heavy Industries’ Geoje shipyard in South Korea on 31 October. The ultra-deep water project is due to start up next year, producing 200,000 b/d of oil. The field, discovered in 2003, is located in water depths of around 1,600 metres, 200km offshore Port Harcourt and 20km south-west of the producing Akpo condensate field on the same licence.
