Geothermal Development Company (GDC) announced on 29 August that it had successfully discharged steam from a third exploration well at the Paka prospect in the Baringo-Silali geothermal project. Exploration is also under way at the Korosi prospect, the second area to be explored. Three wells will be drilled at Korosi to determine the resource before appraisal and production drilling. A third prospect, Silali, will also be explored for the project.
