Joule Africa to develop Bumbuna Phase II

The Ministry of Energy and Water Resources has signed a memorandum of understanding with California-based Joule Africa to develop the second stage of the Bumbuna hydro project. The 50MW first phase was severely delayed by the civil war but was finally commissioned in November 2009 (AE 175/1).
