Ghana: Hess drops Pecan development plans

New York-based independent Hess Corporation has decided not to develop the discoveries in the Deepwater Tano Cape Three Points licence and is evaluating options to monetise the asset. The company’s Q4 results announced on 5 February included an after-tax charge of $280m to fully impair the carrying value of its 50% operated interest in the licence.
