Canada and the African Development Bank (AfDB) have signed up for a new C$129.9m ($103.5m) gender-led Climate Fund for Africa (CACF), to provide long-term capital concessional loans for sovereign and non-sovereign (private and public sector) operations. They also agreed a C$10m grant to provide complementary technical assistance for the fund, which will be administered by the AfDB.
