On 19 August, the Council of Ministers authorised Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) chairman Abed Ezz El-Regal and Ministry of Petroleum first undersecretary for agreements and exploration Ashraf Farag to sign a settlement with Sunny Hill Energy (formerly Petroceltic International).
