Egypt: Damietta plant to restart in Q1 2021

The improvement in global LNG markets has allowed Eni, Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation, the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (Egas) and Spain’s Naturgy to revive agreements related to the Segas liquefaction plant in Damietta, which will now resume operations in Q1 2021.

On 1 December, Eni announced that it has concluded agreements with its partners and amicably settled Naturgy’s claims against the Egyptian government in line with terms originally agreed in February.
