Cameroon: More Chinese financing sought as hydro schemes line up

Cameroon’s government has applied to the Export–Import Bank of China (China Eximbank) to support construction of the long-planned 72MW Menchum hydroelectric power (HEP) dam in the politically and environmentally sensitive northwest of the country, as it tries to give momentum to a number of stalled HEP schemes.
