African Union: Odinga looks forward to infrastructure fund

The African Union (AU) is moving ahead with plans to set up a new fund to finance infrastructure projects across the continent, AU high representative for infrastructure development in Africa Raila Odinga told Reuters on 18 February. The planned facility was especially needed as new sources of cash were required due to donor fatigue and concern about debt from China and other big creditors, the former Kenyan prime minister said.
